Happy Friday, and a very happy triple holiday weekend for Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day, and President’s Day back to back! I’m very excited to unveil a collaboration with Dulles Designs! Known for their classic artwork, luxurious papers, traditional engraving or letterpress or flat printing, and elegant calligraphy, I’ve had my eye on their beautiful work since connecting through the Princeton Alumni Network while attending my first National Stationery Show over 10 years ago. As Laura Ann Studio now specializes first and foremost in custom watercolor “Window to The Bay” fine art portraits and illustration, I’m delighted to find a collaborator in Emilie Dulles of Dulles Designs to offer portrait clients the highest quality personal stationery and notepads featuring their custom art.

Custom “Window to The Bay” Watercolor Portraits Meet Personal Stationery and Notepads
The spark of personal stationery collaboration for Laura Ann Studio X Dulles Designs began with Christmas 2020 Secret Santa - I drew my dad’s name, and on his “wish list” was a request for personal stationery. I’ve been dreaming of seeing “Window to The Bay” custom watercolors printed on elegant personal stationery envelope liners with the sumptuous papers, printing techniques, and classic design of Dulles Designs. I jumped at the chance to surprise my dad and mom with a custom portrait, and to call Dulles Designs.
I couldn’t decide whether to paint the front of the home or the water view of the lake from the front windows that defines the enjoyment of living there. In the end it worked out well to paint both - one for the back of the personal card and the other for the envelope liner. You can watch the process video and hear the portrait story HERE. My dad and mom were surprised and delighted!
“Window to The Bay” custom watercolor portraits are now available for reproduction as thick cardstock personal stationery notepads in collaboration with Dulles Designs.
As a bonus, Emilie graciously sent me these elegant cardstock personalized notepads with my own “Window to The Bay” portrait. I’m delighted to add these high quality notepads to the “Window to The Bay” offerings.
My dad said it best - “You know we’ll never use these because they are so pretty we won’t want to let them go.” As I use mine judiciously one by one, at least I know where to order more!
