Capturing Memories, Building Relationships
Drawing from my life-long loves of art and architecture, I proudly offer Window to The Bay portraits, a one-of-a-kind gift for new homeowners that depicts their new home as a hand-painted work of art. Inspired by the charming ornate stained-glass windows of San Francisco’s iconic Victorian homes, and the breathtaking bay views they command, I devised Window to The Bay as the ultimate housewarming gift. Whether it’s a personal gift for a milestone celebration, or a unique client gift for realtors, these lovingly hand-crafted watercolor portraits capture all the vibrancy of San Francisco Bay Area homes, creating an unforgettable keepsake.
Each Portrait Tells a Story
A house portrait captures far more than just architecture. Just as the smile, the positioning of hands and the posture of a portrait can tell a person’s story, these house portraits capture a spirit. The memories, the stories you tell… the indescribable details that made you fall in love with a home. Now imagine a one-of-a-kind gift lovingly crafted from all of those elements, each of them captured in vivid watercolors.
The very first Window to The Bay portrait I created happens to be my own - I painted it last June as a gift for my husband on our 7th wedding anniversary. The front window space of our living room is where the most meaningful memories are made for life spent with two kids under five. Like cats, we gravitate to the sunniest window as much as possible. To enjoy the sunny spot to its fullest, we put down a “peace rug” and added bright blue stained glass peace signs. The baskets hold our most frequently used toys, which include magnetic building blocks, train cities, and toy airplane engineering. It’s also where we do our plant experiments – orchids, succulents and herbs are common staples, or sweet potatoes and pumpkin starters which are then brought to the Hayes Valley community garden. Finally, when the kids are away at school, I pull up a chair with a cup of coffee and let the creative juices flow painting at the front window.
This is my Window to The Bay.
